Police at the 100th Precinct in Rockaway Beach are looking for a suspect who allegedly robbed a drug store at gunpoint in broad daylight on Saturday, Aug. 22, and remains at large.
The armed robber entered the Nature’s First Pharmacy located at 87-02 Rockaway Beach Blvd. just before 1:30 p.m. and walked up to the counter and pulled out a firearm, demanding property. He walked to the back of the drug store and removed various medications from inside a refrigerator and stuffed them into a black backpack before fleeing in an unknown direction.
The stolen medication included Ozempic and other weight loss drugs, which are a hot commodity on the black market, according to a law enforcement source. The value of the stolen drugs has not been determined, an NYPD spokeswoman said…
