Enraged NYC tenants fight to bring back three beloved staff members allegedly axed by new management

Three beloved door attendants at a luxury Brooklyn building were allegedly axed from their posts by new management — sending outraged residents on a crusade to bring them back.

Nearly all of the tenants of 50 N. 5th St. in Williamsburg have signed on to a petition pressuring Rose Associates — the buildings property and leasing management — to rehire longtime front desk staffers Ganesh, Diamond and Irving.

“They knew everybody’s names; they knew the kids’ names; they knew the pets’ names,” said petition organizer Indigo, who declined to give her last name for privacy reasons.

“People would come down in the morning just to hang out with them and catch up, and it just really made the building feel more like a family and more like a home, versus like a big, faceless apartment building,” she said…
