New York, New York – Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend rallied to beat Ashlyn Krueger and Robin Montgomery for the US Open women’s doubles title on Friday, completing a career doubles Grand Slam.
The top seeds hadn’t dropped a set through their first four matches, and after a tense opening frame against Krueger and Montgomery – the 2021 girls’ doubles champions – they pulled away relentlessly to win 5-7, 6-0, 6-2.
American Townsend captured her first US Open doubles title. She and Siniakova had already teamed to win Wimbledon in 2024, the Australian Open in 2025 and the French Open this year.
For Siniakova, it was a 12th Grand Slam women’s doubles title and a second career Grand Slam – she won all four majors with her previous longtime partner Barbora Krejcikova…
