A multi-institution research team anchored at Hackensack Meridian Health’s Center for Discovery and Innovation has received a five-year, $3.7 million federal grant to address one of the sharpest disparities in cancer prevention: the near-absence of lung cancer screening among eligible African Americans, according to Hackensack Meridian Health.
The New Jersey Business and Industry Association also reported the award, noting its significance for health equity statewide.
