Hackensack Meridian Team Secures $3.7M Federal Grant to Close Lung Cancer Screening Gap in African American Communities

A multi-institution research team anchored at Hackensack Meridian Health’s Center for Discovery and Innovation has received a five-year, $3.7 million federal grant to address one of the sharpest disparities in cancer prevention: the near-absence of lung cancer screening among eligible African Americans, according to Hackensack Meridian Health.
