NYC cop accidentally fires weapon in subway station, hitting fellow cop and civilian

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Two officers are now on modified duty after an officer discharged their service weapon inside a subway station, striking a civilian and another officer, PIX11 News has learned.

An NYPD officer accidentally discharged their weapon inside Brooklyn’s Kingston-Throop Avenues subway station on Thursday, officials tell PIX11.

When the gun was fired, a fragment of the discharged bullet struck another on-duty officer, police said.

A further investigation revealed that another fragment also struck a 34-year-old civilian and subway bystander.  The 34-year-old female victim sustained minor injuries…
