A 27-year-old bartender lost his leg in a serious Route 80 crash on the way home from work, according to his employer, as his community rallies around him for a long recovery.
Jonathan Vinanzaca-Quizhpi, of Kearny, was driving a Lexus west on Route 80 in Montville Township when he ran off the left side of the highway and struck the end of a guardrail near milepost 47.8, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said. Troopers responded to the crash at 2:30 a.m., Marchan said.
