NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – The tri-state area is expected to see potential impacts from a nor’easter this weekend.
As of right now, the earliest possible chance of showers is likely to be across eastern Long Island at noon and then become more widespread by Saturday, according to PIX11 Meteorologist Stacy-Ann Gooden.

The mayor’s office has issued storm preparedness guidance for New Yorkers, as they monitor the storm’s possible impact for the area, including heavy rain, flooding and strong winds.
“While this storm is expected to pass offshore and keep the heaviest rain east of New York City, New Yorkers should still prepare for gusty winds, rain and coastal flooding this weekend,” said Mayor Mamdani.
