Accused Central Park murderer says victim hit him with a stick first: Complaint

The man accused of bludgeoning a 63-year-old woman to death with a stick inside Central Park earlier this week told officers who arrested him that the woman hit him first, according to a criminal complaint.

According to court documents, Jonathan Robles, 36, allegedly told investigators after he was mirandized that he was retaliating.

“She hit me on my body with a stick, so I took the stick from her. I hit her with it more than 20 times,” the interviewing officer reports Robles saying. “I did it until she couldn’t hit me anymore.”…
