A court has temporarily paused extended work hours at the future Manhattan jail construction site in Chinatown after neighbors and a local nonprofit challenged the city’s move to allow extended construction hours.
The jail is one of four the city is building as part of its plan to move detainees from Rikers Island and close the jail.
