N.J. man shot in the leg during a chaotic street scene — and police say it appears he did it himself

A man who was shot in the leg amid a crowd in Elizabeth early Sunday morning appeared to have sustained a self-inflicted wound, police said.

The incident happened on North Broad Street just after 1 a.m.
