Man attacked with stick, robbed of $35 on Bronx street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released a photo on Thursday of a man they are looking to identify for attacking a man with a stick then robbing him earlier this month.

At approximately 3:15 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1, the victim, a 32-year-old-male was walking into 2724 University Ave. in Kingsbridge Heights when he was approached by the suspect who displayed a knife and struck him in the head with a wooden stick.

The suspect then stole the victim’s cellphone and approximately $35 from him before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
