NYPD: Staten Island man, 34, arrested for bank-robbery attempt, bomb threat

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Police allege that a 34-year-old man from Staten Island passed a note with a bomb threat when he tried to rob a bank in Brooklyn earlier this month. Junior Bishop of Tompkins Avenue in Stapleton was arrested on Friday in connection with the attempted heist on Jan. 10 at Citizens Bank at 1545 Flatbush Ave., according to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.
