Thieves shouting ‘iPhone, iPhone’ steal phones in Brooklyn spree

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD on Friday released a photo of two men wanted for stealing iPhones in a robbery spree in Bushwick last week, authorities said.

The first incident happened at approximately 5:48 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21, a 32-year-old man was in the vicinity of Bushwick Avenue and Cook Street in Bushwick when he was approached by two suspects on a scooter and grabbed his cellphone from his hand then fled on the scooter southbound on Bushwick Avenue.

Minutes later, at approximately 6 p.m., a 27-year-old woman was in the vicinity of 11 Moffat St. when the suspects approached her on a scooter and stated, “iPhone, iPhone,” then took her cellphone from her hand, officials said.

The suspects fled on a scooter to parts unknown.

The victims suffered no injuries as a result of these incidents.
