2 kids hit by car on their way to school in Brooklyn: NYPD

BROOKLYN (PIX11) — Two kids were hit by a car Wednesday morning on their way to school in Brooklyn, authorities report.

A 13-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy were struck by a minivan near Sixteenth Avenue and 62nd Street at 8:08 a.m., according to NYPD. First responders transported the victims to the hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.

The 44-year-old driver remained at the scene and was issued a summons, police said.
