A former New York City police officer who punched an emotionally disturbed woman in a stationhouse holding cell, has been sentenced to 60 days. On January 10, 2024, Luis Marte was found guilty of Attempted Assault in the third degree and Official Misconduct by Judge Ralph Fabrizio following a bench trial.
