NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Fluffy white snow descended on the tri-state area Saturday, leaving many residents to wake up to piles of snow outside their windows.
A winter weather advisory was in effect until 10 a.m. for northeastern New Jersey, New York City and Long Island, according to the National Weather Service. A winter storm warning was in effect until 10 a.m. in parts of New Jersey and Middlesex Couty, according to the NWS.
Snowfall to continue into midmorning in NY, NJ
The snow tapered off by midmorning on Saturday, however, there is a chance of more snow in the early afternoon.
