Man killed in broad daylight shooting on Brooklyn street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The NYPD is investigating after a man was repeatedly shot and killed in broad daylight on a Brooklyn street on Thursday.

Police responded to a 911 call for shots fired in the vicinity of Belmont and Euclid avenues in East New York at approximately 12:48 p.m., officials said.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 21-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the torso.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Brookdale Hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.

The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
