U.S. Development Unveils Frankford Grand: A New Mixed-Use Gem in Philadelphia’s Fishtown

U.S. Development, based in Jersey City, has breathed new life into two vacant city blocks in Philadelphia’s vibrant Fishtown neighborhood, unveiling the Frankford Grand. This luxury mixed-use project features 107 upscale multifamily units and dynamic retail spaces, with leasing officially commencing on September 18.

Designed by New York City’s Perkins Eastman, the five-story building captures Fishtown’s working-class heritage with its distinctive brick façade and black-trimmed loft-style windows. The property includes two expansive retail spaces, totaling 15,000 square feet, capable of accommodating a range of businesses, from restaurants to bars, each boasting large outdoor patios for al fresco dining.

“Our vision was to transform one of the last undeveloped parcels between Fishtown and Northern Liberties into a vibrant space that connects the two neighborhoods,” said John Farina, CEO of U.S. Development.

Frankford Grand offers a diverse mix of units: 50 studios, 32 one-bedroom apartments, and 25 two-bedrooms. Residents can enjoy a variety of amenities, including a stunning roof deck with views of the Center City skyline, an outdoor kitchen with grilling areas, and a serene sky garden featuring crepe myrtle trees and a fire pit. The ground floor houses a full-sized gym and a private courtyard garden with bocce courts, ideal for hosting social events.
