NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – One man was killed and another wounded in a double shooting in Washington Heights early Wednesday, police said.
The NYPD responded just after midnight to a 911 call about a shooting at West 160th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
Arriving officers found one man with a gunshot wound to the chest.
EMS transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead.
He hasn’t yet been identified by police.
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old who was shot in the left ankle was taken by private means to Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
No arrests were reported Wednesday as the investigation continued. No description has been released of the shooter or shooters.
