NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man was shot and killed at a public housing complex in the Rockaways on Thursday night, police said.
The 59-year-old victim was found unresponsive by NYPD officers responding to a 911 call just before 11:15 p.m. at NYCHA’s Ocean Bay Apartments in Edgemere.
Officers arrived at 319 Beach 54th St. to find the victim inside a residential building with multiple gunshot wounds to the head.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
His name has been withheld pending the notification of his family.
No arrests were reported Friday as police investigated.
