DEADLY HIT-RUN: Brooklyn driver mows down man, flees scene

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A driver struck a man in Brooklyn on Thursday morning before fleeing the scene and leaving him to die, police said.

The deadly hit-and-run happened just after 3 a.m. in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The victim was walking at Bedford and Lafayette avenues when the driver hit him, police said.

He was taken to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim’s age and identity remain unknown as police work to identify his family.
