Man stabs victim in eye inside Brooklyn subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A manhunt is underway for a suspect who stabbed a 30-year-old man in the eye inside a Brooklyn subway station early Thursday morning, police said.

The victim was inside the Bay Ridge Avenue subway station just before 4:30 a.m. when he was approached by the suspect.

Police said that the suspect proceeded to stab the man in his left eye with an unknown object before fleeing on a Brooklyn-bound R train.

EMS transported the victim to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in stable condition.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a blue Amazon vest, dark-colored sweatpants and white sneakers. He is depicted in surveillance footage provided by the NYPD on Saturday.
