Man sits next to subway rider on Brooklyn train, then robs him at gunpoint

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD on Wednesday released surveillance video of a man wanted for allegedly robbing a subway rider on a Brooklyn train at gunpoint last week.

At approximately 12:05 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, a 21-year-old man was on a northbound N train approaching the 59th Street Station in Sunset Park, when the suspect sat next to him, authorities said.

According to police, the suspect displayed a firearm and demanded money. He took approximately $350 and exited the train at the 59th Street Station on foot, traveling to parts unknown.

There were no injuries reported.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and white sneakers.
