Man slashed in face unprovoked on Brooklyn street, suspect sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police release surveillance footage on Thursday after a man was slashed in the face during an unprovoked attack on a Brooklyn street earlier this week.

At approximately 9:14 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, a 30-year-old man was walking in front of 292 Ashland Pl. in Downtown Brooklyn when he was approached by the suspect, authorities said.

According to police, the suspect cursed at the victim and slashed him in the face.

He then fled on foot in an unknown direction to parts unknown.

EMS transported the victim to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.
