USPS worker fatally stabbed while on the job in Harlem; person of interest in custody

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A postal worker was fatally stabbed while working in Harlem on Thursday, police confirmed with 1010 WINS.

NYPD responded to a call on Lenox Avenue near 118th Street around 2:30 p.m. and found the victim, a 36-year-old man, with a stab wound to his stomach.

He was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he later died.

Cops said that  person of interest is currently in custody.

A weapon was also recovered.

The nature of the relationship between the victim and the suspect was not immediately clear.
