NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 16-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man were shot inside an Upper West Side bodega on Sunday night, two hours before another 16-year-old was shot at a Brooklyn deli, police said.
The victims were gunned down shortly before 8 p.m. inside the bodega at West 92nd Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
They were both hospitalized in stable condition.
Details about the shooting weren’t immediately known, including if the victims were the intended targets.
No arrests had been reported by Monday.
The shooting came about two hours before a 16-year-old boy was shot in the groin and arm around 9:30 p.m. at a deli at Crystal Street and Sutter Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. He was hospitalized and expected to survive, according to reports.
Last Monday, six people—including a 40-year-old mother and her 12-year-old daughter—were shot and wounded at a bodega in the Bronx. As the bullets flew, a “cowardly” intended target grabbed the mom and used her as a “human shield,” police said.
