$12K in subway surveillance cameras stolen from parked trains in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD launched an investigation after subway surveillance cameras were stolen last month from parked trains in Queens causing thousands in damages.

According to officials, at approximately 1:11 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, unknown individuals entered a layup R train in the tunnel area between the Briarwood and Sutphin Avenue stations, and moved the train approximately five feet.
