Brooklyn man arrested in Atlantic City shooting after multi-agency manhunt

A Brooklyn man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that took place in Atlantic City on Saturday, according to the Atlantic City Police Department. Edwin Biggs, 51, was taken into custody in Brooklyn on Tuesday by members of the New York Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force.

The shooting occurred around 2:11 p.m. on May 3 in the 1500 block of Baltic Avenue. The victim, a 52-year-old Atlantic City resident, was shot during an altercation with Biggs, who police say is known to the victim. The man was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center by an associate before officers arrived and was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
