Teens robbed of clothes in R station

SUNSET PARK – POLICE SAY THAT at around 3:30 on Thursday, June 5, two 16-year-old boys were waiting in the mezzanine area of the 59th St. R station in Sunset Park, planning to sell clothing, when three people approached and demanded their property. One man then punched one of the boys multiple times in the face, before grabbing several hooded sweatshirts and fleeing the station on foot. Another of the attackers stole a pair of sneakers from the other boy, then fled with the third on a northbound R train. Neither teen was hospitalized.

The hoodie thief is described as male with a dark complexion, and around 6’1” and 170 pounds. He was seen in security footage wearing a dark patterned jacket, dark pants and a dark facemask. No description was released for the other two thieves…
