NYC Pride March to color the streets this weekend: Timing, route, and more

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — One of the world’s largest demonstrations and celebrations of LGBTQIA+ civil rights is set to color the streets of New York City this weekend.

Millions will take to the streets for the annual NYC Pride March on Sunday at starting at 11 a.m. This year’s theme is Rise Up: Pride and Protest with grand marshals Karine Jean-Pierre, Marti Gould Cummings, DJ Lina, Elisa Crespo, and Trans formative Schools.

Where and when does the Pride March start?

The NYC Pride March will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday from 26th Street and Fifth Avenue in the Flatiron District.

What is the route?

Marchers will make their way towards West Eighth Street, turn onto Greenwich Avenue, and head down Christopher Street before dispersing at  15th Street and Seventh Avenue.
