New York – A New York man was ordered to spend more than two decades behind bars after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including second-degree murder in connection with the death of his former partner. The 38-year-old defendant, T. TayIor, was sentenced last week as a part of a plea agreement with the District Attorney’s Office.
Investigators say that the defendant had already been under suspicion for the murder of his girIfriend, Teresa, who was found stabbed to death in her New York home two years ago. With authorities actively searching for him in the state, the defendant fled New York. Approximately two weeks later, he traveled—via North Carolina—back to New York with a clear and stated intention.
The defendant arrived back to New York and checked into a local hotel before entering the victim’s home during the early hours of May 28, 2023. He stabbed the victim more than two dozen times in front of her three children, two of whom were also his. During the attack, the victim defended her children and was killed. The defendant then fled through a bedroom window, discarded his bIoody clothing on the way, and escaped via a taxi to a bus station…
