17 year old charged as adult in killing of Jersey City man

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — A 17-year-old charged in connection with the 2024 fatal shooting of 24-year-old Resheed Wallace in Jersey City will be prosecuted as an adult, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced Wednesday.

The teen, identified as Kaison Brown of South Amboy, faces multiple charges including murder, felony murder, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and weapons offenses.

Wallace was shot on May 10, 2024, near Pearsall Avenue and Garfield Avenue. He was transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:25 p.m. The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death a homicide caused by a gunshot wound to the upper body…
