Driver kills Bronx pedestrian, flees the scene, NYPD says

Police said they’re looking for the driver of a vehicle who struck and killed a woman as she crossed a Bronx street late Wednesday night and then fled the scene.

NYPD officials said the 44-year-old victim was crossing 174th Street and Macombs Road in Morris Heights around 11:45 p.m. when she was hit. They did not immediately have a description of the car or its driver, and did not identify the woman as they worked to notify her family…
