Mayor Tries to Separate Himself From Cast of Confidants Accused of Corruption

Mayor Eric Adams on Friday worked to distance the work of his administration from the former staffers indicted this week on more bribery charges, but stopped short of condemning any of their alleged behavior.

He also insisted that he had nothing to do with  campaign volunteer, former staffer and longtime ally Winnie Greco giving a wad of cash to CITY reporter after a campaign event this week.

“I have no idea of the communication between Winnie and the reporter involved,” Adams said at a City Hall briefing Friday afternoon. “We don’t give money to reporters.”…
