BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A man was found beaten to death in a Downtown Brooklyn apartment complex that rents rooms, according to police and sources.
A security guard found the victim unconscious in a room in the building at 90 Sands St. near Jay Street just before 6 a.m. Monday, according to police and sources.

The unidentified man, believed to be in his 40s, had a severe head injury and was pronounced dead at the scene, cops said. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
