Operation White Butterfly
Nearly a dozen Megan’s Law violators have been taken off the streets of New Jersey and New York thanks to a coordinated law enforcement campaign.
Agencies Involved in the Operation
According to the New Jersey State Police, on August 14th, their agency, along with the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and the U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force to successfully concluded Phase 2 of “Operation White Butterfly.”
Troopers say this “coordinated, multijurisdictional initiative” went after convicted sex offenders who failed to comply with Megan’s Law registration requirements.
