Two arrested in connection to deadly Burlington assault

BURLINGTON, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – Two individuals were arrested in relation to the August assault that lead to Scott Kastner’s death.

The 42-year-old victim died days after a he was attacked by multiple people near Burlington’s City Hall August 11, Burlington police report. An autopsy performed last week reveals that Kastner died from “complications due to blunt force trauma”, and his cause of death was ruled a homicide.

Burlington City Council passes resolution to enforce City Hall Park rules

Officers identified two suspects, one an underage individual and the other 26-year-old Isaiah Argro, of Queens, NY. BPD officially obtained warrants, charging the pair with second-degree murder on August 28.

Police say that Argro was arrested by detectives August 29 after he was found at a Shelburne residence. The 16-year-old was later arrested at a South Burlington nightclub August 30, after a reportedly “brief struggle”…
