95-Year-Old Woman Kills Nursing Home Roommate

95-year-old Galina Smirnova has killed her nursing home roommate. This took place at the Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Coney Island, New York, on September 14. One of the nurses checked on Nina Kravtsov, where they saw her sleeping. However, an hour later, they went back to check again and found her covered in blood with gash wounds. Her roommate Galina, was seen washing blood off her hands in the sink. They also saw the foot pedal on the wheelchair covered in blood and on the floor. Galina was arrested and taken to jail immediately. When they checked the surveillance, it showed that no one had entered or exited the room since the nurse checked on her an hour prior.

She Is Charged With Murder After Killing New York Woman

Nina Kravtsov was a Holocaust survivor and was 89 years old. This is a tragic situation that occurred. However, Galina has been charged with second-degree murder.

“Family is grieving in every sense of the word. It is my responsibility that justice is served for a woman that survived the Holocaust but could not survive a nursing home is dealt with correctly,”
