Police are investigating after a 58-year-old man was struck in the head with a cane during an early morning assault in Hell’s Kitchen.
According to the NYPD, officers responded to a 911 call reporting an assault in progress near W57th Street and 10th Avenue at around 3am Monday. When they arrived, they found the victim had been attacked by an unidentified man who struck him in the head with a cane.
The victim was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he remains in stable condition. Police said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
