Older man, dead dogs found at ‘extreme’ hoarder condo on Long Island

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Dogs were found—alive and dead—under “extreme” hoarding conditions at an older man’s Long Island townhouse, officials said.

Workers in hazmat suits were throwing out items Wednesday from the corner townhouse on Maya Circle at the Islip Landing condos in Central Islip, where a foul smell was noticeable even outside on the sidewalk.

According to Central Islip Fire Chief Joseph Vereline, two dead dogs were found Tuesday inside the home, along with five more dogs living in “extreme hoarding conditions.”…
