Father charged after infant found not breathing in Kingsbury home

KINGSBURY, NY (WRGB) — A Manhattan man is facing charges after an infant was found unresponsive in a Kingsbury home, and was later pronounced deceased at a nearby hospital.

According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to 122 Vaughn Road in the Town of Kingsbury shortly before 7 a.m. Sunday for a report of a child not breathing. When they arrived, they found a 2-month-old infant who was not breathing and was transported to Glens Falls Hospital by the Fort Edward Rescue Squad. Upon arrival at the hospital the child was pronounced deceased.

The Sheriff’s Office secured secured the scene and executed a warrant search of the residence, assisted by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Investigation Units. As a result of the search, a male occupant, the father of the infant, Keshaun M. Williams, 38, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, a class A-II Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, a class B Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, a class D Felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A Misdemeanor…
