Gov. Kathy Hochul’s lead over Rep. Elise Stefanik may be shrinking fast, according to a new poll from Stefanik’s own PAC. The survey shows Hochul ahead by just 5 points — a big drop from the 25-point lead reported by a Siena College poll last month.
The GrayHouse poll, which surveyed 1,250 likely 2026 voters, found that Hochul’s support dropped further when voters were told about her bail reform stance and cost-of-living record. Her approval rating sat below 40%, while Stefanik hadn’t even officially entered the race yet.
