Man beaten and robbed while smoking on Newark street as police hunt trio
Newark, NJ – A man was ambushed and brutally attacked while smoking a cigarette early Sunday morning last month, and now police are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspects caught on camera.
The robbery happened around 4:15 a.m. on October 19 near Arlington Avenue and Summer Avenue. According to police, the victim told officers he was outside smoking when he was suddenly grabbed from behind and assaulted by three men.
