A 16-year-old girl who had just jumped from a bridge into the freezing Harlem River in a suicide attempt was saved Thursday when two quick-thinking NYPD officers leapt into the dangerously cold water to pull her to safety.
Moments after she entered the mid-50-degree water — cold enough to trigger hypothermia within minutes — the teen began crying for help.
