Persistent Surveillance: A Customer’s Unsettling Experience at Foodtown Supermarket

A local resident has voiced concerns about alleged harassment by staff at the Foodtown supermarket. The resident, a 23-year resident of Jackson Heights and a new mother, reported the issue on social media. She claimed that the harassment began when she entered the store with a pack of zucchini from another store, Mango Rico. The security guard, who was reportedly distracted by his phone, later confronted her at the self-checkout. The resident stated that she made sure the security guard saw that the zucchini was from Mango Rico, but she believes he has held a grudge since the incident. She alleges that the security guard and other staff members have been following her around the store for over a year. Despite contacting Foodtown’s corporate office, the resident claims the harassment has continued.
