LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) – A driver is accused of crashing into a woman, killing her, in a hit-and-run on the Lower East Side on Thursday, according to the NYPD.
Police said it happened near Clinton and Stanton streets around 7 p.m. The victim, who was in her 60s, was struck by a black SUV while walking in a crosswalk, according to authorities.
