The NYPD is still searching for two men who robbed the operator of a rideshare vehicle at an intersection in Springfield Gardens on Dec. 15.
The two men, who were wearing surgical masks, were passengers of the for-hire vehicle, said the NYPD. As the driver, a 55-year-old man, approached 144th Avenue and 167th Street near South Conduit Ave., one of the masked men requested a change of destination.
Instead of letting the operator put in the change of address, the individual took the victim’s cell phone and after a brief struggle, he absconded with the phone with his accomplice and they fled on foot going east on 144th Avenue…
