Amazon Driver Rips Open Package, Dumps Wrapping On Lyndhurst Lawn: Cops

A resident on Page Avenue told police on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025 around 2:15 p.m., that several Amazon packages were delivered to the home about one hour earlier, Police Chief Richard said. The female delivery driver placed the packages down and took a photo with her cellphone, which police said is common practice for deliveries, but things took a turn when the driver removed one of the packages, ripped it open, removed the contents, and tossed the empty packaging on the front lawn, Jarvis said.

Officer Vincent Dorio recovered the discarded package, which police said was addressed to another residence on Page Avenue across Stuyvesant Avenue and had been torn open and emptied.

Video surveillance provided by the resident showed the delivery driver delivering the packages, opening one package, removing its contents, and discarding the packaging on the lawn, police said…
