Firefighter Was Wrong-Way Driver Killed In Double Fatal Route 80 Totowa Wreck, Officials Say

A Honda sedan operated by Albin Fermin, a 30-year-old man from Newark, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes when he struck a Buick SUV head-on at 2:08 a.m., at milepost 54.1, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.

Imani Alexis Furman, 24, of Norwich, and Fermin both died as a result of the crash. The Buick driver, a 60-year-old woman also from Norwich, was seriously injured, and a 2-year-old was moderately injured…
