Man Who Was Behaving Erratically in New York Required Eight Police Officers to Be Stopped: ‘Can’t Find a Social Worker When You Need Them’

People often say that the craziest things happen in the streets of New York, and you know what? That statement might be true. We usually see some unhinged things happen in this city, and sometimes, not even one police officer is enough to put a stop to these situations. To give you an example, not long ago, a man was acting erratically in Manhattan, New York, and eight NYPD officers were needed to defuse the situation and detain the man. Some might think it’s overkill, but this scenario demanded it.

The video comes from NYC Scoop on X, and it shows a man acting erratically in the street. According to the original post, this individual caused a disturbance, trying to confront people who were walking around, and eventually drew in a large crowd who were observing him. When things started to get out of hand, the NYPD intervened, but it needed more than just one officer.

As you can see in the footage, there are at least eight officers trying to detain that man in Manhattan. One of the officers approaches the man to grab his legs, but this one tries to throw some kicks at him. It seems that the erratic person didn’t manage to hit the police officer, though…
